Rochester New York Engagement { photographs }!!!

Natural Photo Sessions have been a big hit this year! Our beautiful parks have been a huge source of inspiration for my photo sessions. Lindsay and Jim wanted a little urban and a little nature in there engagement photos...no problem. We met at the studio then headed to the always fabulous Highland Park! Lindsay and Jim kept it relaxed and fun. Together we talked music and houses. Good conversation with great people. They are planning a sweet Fall wedding here in Rochester. I'd say I cannot wait, but here in Rochester anyone who rushes Summer gets chased out of town:)

Chicago Engagement { photographs }!!!

Excited to share images from a fantastic photo session with a fabulous couple!!! A few weeks ago I met up with Kristin and Jesse on a rainy weekend in Chicago. After a flight delay and rain showers in the city, the weather broke and went for it!
Kristin and Jesse are Rochester natives living and working in Chicago. Young, smart, attractive and in true love! They are planning a finger lakes wedding celebration, but wanted photos together in their new city. We started outside of their cool and hip river/lake front condo. Within a few minutes we were laughing and finding the best little spots for photos. Three hours later we were getting offers from the Chicago Police Department for a ride to other known photo locations. Needless to say we rocked the city that rainy Sunday:)

Rochester Wedding Photo Workshop!!!

Every year I am proud to host a photo workshop for the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education! Eleven brave photographers spent two classroom sessions, and one- 6 hour, outdoor photo session, with me and my camera. Trying not to teach, I demonstrated what works for me. With two beautiful and amazing couples, we headed to some of my favorite locations for photo sessions. Brandy and Craig rocked our engagement session. Then Hayley and Ryan displayed their love for the bride and groom session. Flower Power Decor donated the gorgeous flowers, and we hit the town!
Inspired by each and everyone who participated. Discussing and demonstrating photography in a group setting always teaches me something, and new questions arise. I made new friends to share photography, and life with. What a fun and talented group we had!

Rochester New York Engagement { photographs }!!!

Keeping up on my blogging before the heart of the wedding season is upon us. Last month was my first natural photo session of the year, in Rochester's beautiful Highland Park. Kim and Armon braved a slight chill, and we broke Highland Park in for the 2009 season:) Kim and Armon work hard and have busy schedules, so I really wanted them to have a fun expreience. We stayed near the reservoir, caught golden light, and had some laughs. Great people with a sure to be special wedding!

Rochester New York Nature { photographs }!!!

Big weekend here in Rochester, NY!! The world famous Lilac Festival kicks off! Mother's Day weekend, and my 6th year wedding anniversary!! Jam packed and looking forward to spending it with my family. The women in my life are true and solid foundations, providing me with positive role models and inspiration. Rochester New York Engagement { photographs }!!!

Blogging...yes it it takes a lot of time, and just when I think I can blog no more I get inspired! Laura and Andy inspire me with kindness! They are down to earth, warm, and like family. Smart too I tell ya! Not just because they commissioned me and an the fabulous Kelli Berg on their wedding day:) We had tons of fun getting to know each other and walking the Neighborhood of the Arts on a beautiful Spring day. Photo sessions like this one are so special. This makes me love my job more than I thought was possible. Totally looking forward to their big day in August!
