Yet another super cool NYC engagement session. Claire and Alex are stylish and fun. Their adorable puppy Rufus joined us for the first part of the photo session. He is the most famous mammal on the east side! As we walked with Rufus, we were greeted like royalty by the neighbors. With a face like that what's not to love!?

Fun and Funky! These are just two words that can even begin to describe the AWESOMENESS that is Alycia and Eric! Beautiful and hard working Rochesterians making the most out of life. They are the proud owners of Decibel, the hottest new lounge in Rochester. You must check it out!
Alycia and Eric's hip wedding day was filled with color and joy. Totally translating their uniqueness on a perfect day. Each and every detail made for a truly special wedding.
Stacy K Floral knocked it outta the the park once again with her amazing vision. The historic Hochstein Music Hall provided a grand setting for the ceremony. A fitting venue for their musically talented friends who performed on stage. This very close group showed unending energy and support for the lovely bride and groom.

Whenever I get the honor of photographing multiple weddings in a family, I beam with pride! That is exactly what I did the entire day of Laurie and Bobby's fantastic wedding. It was no less than four short years ago that I documented Laurie's brother Tim's wedding. I was graced with a beautiful couple and two amazing families to work with then. Not sure if I believe in destiny, but the special wedding of Alaina and Phil could be proof! Phil and his Utica, NY crew have been a huge support since the early start of my photography career. They have provided me with friendships and memories that few are blessed with. When Phil met Alaina, we all found her to be the most loving and beautiful woman that Phil truly deserved.

Downtown Rochester, NY hosted another friendly and fun wedding reception in the evening. Lori and Joel packed the house with loved ones in the spacious The Harro East Ballroom. Great speeches were the icing on the cake to a perfect wedding!!!

Tara and Brent shared a romantic wedding ceremony in the oldest public building in Rochester, St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene Church! Now that is a landmark, and they are part of history! Proud Rochesterians, we started the wedding day in their beautiful home. The great start carried a wonderful mood and vibe the rest of the day. Finding myself envious of other families is very rare. Though Rebecca and Nick have two of the best families a couple could ask for! So much love and support made for an emotional day. Totally inspirational to watch proud families celebrate the bond of two beautiful people!

Two words...Great Taste! That is exactly what Lindsay and Andrew have tons of! Great taste in wedding dresses, wedding venues, wedding photographers:)...and unbelievable taste in wine! Yes wine! These guys where drinking super expensive, vintage wine before noon! Lucky me got a sample and almost needed nap time:)
Lindsay and Andrew could not have planned a more perfect Rochester, NY wedding. They selected the Interfaith Chapel at the University of Rochester for the ceremony location. The Inn on Broadway was their classic reception venue. All around sweetness!
Lindsay's dress was to die for gorgeous. She was completely stunning in it! Andrew was blown away and could not take his eyes off her the whole day.
The wedding was filled with love and emotion. Downtown Rochester was full of life and music with the International Jazz Festival outside, and a party was brewing inside the Inn on Broadway! The guest brought their dancing shoes with amazing energy! A true Rochester wedding celebration!

Spending time in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State is priceless! What can make it even more memorable is when you plan a wedding of a lifetime there! That is exactly what Inga and Jason did:) Bringing together their family and friends at the historic Belhurst Castle.
This was a truly international affair. Much of Inga's family lives in Europe and they all made the long trip to celebrate on a glorious summer day. There is something so sublime about not understanding the language people are speaking, but knowing they are having a great time!
Inga and Jason are really the most amazing couple. Confident and sincere with a true passion for life. They are best friends with fun filled hearts. Seemingly always on an exciting adventure somewhere in the world.
Documenting this wonderful event proves that love is indeed the universal language!

Times have changed! More years ago than I am willing to admit, I'd visit Hobart and William Smith Colleges to compete in athletics, or visit with friends. Now I return, all grown up, to document the wedding of a fabulous alumni couple.
Kerry and David are indeed very smart...I was rejected by Hobart when I applied...though that is not saying much:)
They share a world class education, and selected the picturesque campus of their Alma mater as the setting for their world class wedding! The outdoor ceremony and reception was classy with beautiful weather. The humid afternoon led to a most awesome evening!
Kerry and David could not be more perfect for each other. Honest and kind, with much love to share. They have no shortage of amazing people in their lives. The wedding kinda had a reunion feel, with every guest ready to party like the good old days!

Rachel and Eric live the good life of young professionals in Boston. They decided to have their wedding day here in Rochester with their friends and family close by. The ceremony was at Chapel Hill and the reception was held at the Irondequoit Country Club. Amazing Upstate NY weather was in attendance. Shall we say everything was picture perfect!
Rachel and Eric are totally fun! Eric has these dance moves unlike any I have ever seen, and Rachel is kinda rowdy in a good way! They are a sight to see. Together they have this overwhelming power to create excitement! They are a party without a party if you know what I mean. Add their friends and family...well watch out! As close to out of control as the law allows:)

JULY!!?? How did that happen??!! Well quality takes time, and creativity cannot be rushed. That being said I have a bunch of weddings to post. No better place to start than with Renee and Matthew's wonderful wedding day!
They are a beautiful, fun couple with all the love and support of terrific families! Without a doubt in true love! Renee and Matthew will forever be together...trust me I'm a photographer:)
As their special day unfolded, unforgettable moments, tears of joy, and happiness filled my camera viewfinder. Such an amazing job I have! I was touched by Renee and Matthew's vows of commitment. Dominican Republic Wedding { photographs }!!!

Beautiful beaches matched with beautiful people was the theme of my adventures in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last May! I could not have been more excited to document Kamaria and Marcus' destination wedding! Sure it was in paradise...what was not to be excited about? Though it was much more than that. From their very first email, I knew I was in for a memorable wedding with a unique couple. There was something about the words they used to describe their wedding plans, and what they where looking for in a wedding photojournalist. Indeed we clicked before we ever met in person.
Kamaria and Marcus share a wonderful and touching love story. They are some of the smartest, hardest working, most gorgeous people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Spending a few days with this fun couple, along with their family and friends, allowed us to create a life lasting bond.
The world has big plans for Kamaria and Marcus, and I look forward to witnessing them flourish:)

Getting back into blogging after a busy Spring! Last April I had the complete joy of documenting a fellow photographers special wedding! Rachel Leigh is beautiful and a talented photographer. I met here over three years ago and we have been friends ever since. The best honor is when another photographer trusts you to photograph their wedding!
Along with her fun and handsome groom Ty, we celebrated an amazing wedding on the most perfect Spring day. Given total creative freedom by Rachel and Ty was a treat. Incredible people in love!

Ahhh YES! The last wedding of the winter was...well...like most of the others, intimate, freezing cold, and totally FUN!!
Over the years I have been humbled by high school friends and classmates. They have invested in me and my photography, and I could not be more grateful! Tim walked the same small town high school halls with me...in fact probably the same grade and middle school halls too:) So when a decade goes by and classmates still have a connection with you, you know you grew up in a special place.
Amanda and Tim are true to their upbringing. They are kind, honest, hard working, and in complete love. They are beautiful people inside and out!
Together they planned the perfect little winter wedding at the remarkable and historic Aurora Inn. I have seen my share historic and charming inns, the Aurora Inn is tough to top! Inspiration everywhere you turn! The staff provided the most fabulous service too.
Candle light set the mood for the romantic and emotional ceremony. Followed by an equally fabulous and fun reception. Throughout the day, and with very little hesitation, Amanda and Tim braved the chilly evening for some wonderful natural portraits in the snow! Now that was fun!!...because I was wearing my long underwear:)
It was an honor to have documented this lovely day for two lovely people. Now to make plans to visit the Aurora Inn when it thaws out:)

New York City during winter is a magical place! It seems a bit less crowded. A little slower in pace, but just as much fun:)
Nadine and Justin planned the perfect NYC winter wedding. Not too crowded. Not too ridged a schedule. It was just right! Allowing plenty of time to take it all in, with the ones you love most!
Spending the day with this super awesome couple was an honor. Nadine and Justin are about as classy and intelligent as they come. Two beautiful people made for each other! They indeed have no shortage of love to share.
With the ceremony and reception at the NYU Torch Club, friends and family did not have far to go on a chilly winter evening. Together we cried, laughed, drank, and danced the night away. The lovely couple connected with each and every guest, insuring a good time by all. Truly a blessed day!

When I learned the details of Sarah and Imesh's elopement, I was totally stoked!! Sarah and Imesh are the most adorable and refreshing couple with great taste. Choosing the delightfully romantic Edward Harris House for their intimate ceremony. They were treated like royalty! The gracious staff provided everything needed for a beautiful evening! I am grateful to have been part of Sarah and Imesh's unique and special evening!

Saratoga NY Wedding { photographs }!!!

Winter has left its' mark this year! Freezing cold and snowy beyond recent memory! Winter showed no mercy for Kerry and Josh's wedding last month. The Capitol Region of New York State was a winter wonderland. With the ceremony in Albany and the reception in Saratoga, we braved snow and one of the coldest days of the year! This intense climate had no chance slowing down the celebration for a remarkable couple in love.
Kerry and Josh are friends that crossed paths many times before knowing they were a perfect match. They share a true love story! A few years ago I photographed Kerry's brother on his fabulous wedding day. It was an honor to be asked to continue the streak for this very special family:)
Surrounded by the most amazing people in their lives, Kerry and Josh passionately and firmly set a foundation for life together. Hall of Springs provided the warm and breathtaking space to party into the night. While near zero temperatures chilled the outside, inside was a hot and rockin' party! I was kinda hoping we would all be snowed in together:)

Happy New Year!! Starting 2010 with a quick look back. A look back at the last wedding of 2009! I was totally blessed to spend three days with Christina and Brian in fabulous St. Thomas at the Ritz Carlton. Out-of-this world views with quality people refreshed my soul! Without a doubt motivated me to capture every detail and moment for this amazing couple. Christina and Brian planned three days of cruising, island hopping, parties, and fun with family and friends. All building up to a very special wedding! After a HOT ceremony, we kicked off our shoes for a reception in the sand! Nothing like photographing with your pants rolled up, toes deep in the sand, on a beach in paradise...as the sun sets!! TAKE ME BACK!!!!!

In full Holiday cheer and joy!!!! This year was beyond expectations. The last Rochester wedding of 2009 was a dream come true. A tribute to an amazing city and its equally amazing people.
Lindsay and Jim are just the couple who deserve wedding day bliss! Both stunning, and glowing with happiness. Two admirable people with the world in their hands. Their family and friends are exceptional. It has been a pleasure developing friendships with them ALL:)
Together we celebrated at the landmark Oak Hill Country Club. Perfect details inside and out made for the complete wedding experience. Everywhere I looked Arena's Florist displayed natural works of art. A full house was rocked by the Orient Express Band! Dennis Allen documented with his video skill. Huge thanks to Jennifer Kathryn for her photo skills and support.
Throughout the evening fun moments lead to packed dance floors, one more song...and one more song!

This Big Apple wedding could not have been more sweet! Edith and Alan are sincere and beautiful with the most amazing smiles:) They define the perfect young couple in love. Their wedding was traditional and modern making for a unique event. We hit the jackpot with the weather! It was a stunning Fall day and we took total advantage of it. For portraits we headed to The High Line, a new park in NYC, and and enjoyed every moment. The most perfect setting for portraits! Then Edith and Alan shared wedding vows in traditional church ceremony followed by a elegant reception at the W Hotel at Union Square. At the start of the reception family and friends enjoyed a same day edit movie, made by Edith's talented brother Norris. Just amazing! Tears and laughs were had. I was more than honored to document this very special day. Very proud to share Edith and Alan's lasting love story!

If only I could camp out on the front lawn of the Esperanza Mansion for the summer...life would be sweet! Not only because there are stunning views of Keuka Lake, but all the staff are gracious and welcoming. It was so relaxing to have the guest rooms, ceremony, portraits, and reception all in one beautiful place. Stefanie and Scott shared a private first sight, outside the front door. Stefanie looked amazing and Scott was blown away! We used the whole mansion and its grounds as our backdrop. It was a magical misty day. You could just barely see the lake through the clouds. The leaves were at peak color! The perfect and unique fall wedding day. As the day turned to night the party got started! Great speeches and funny toasts followed by Stefanie and Scott hitting the dance floor! The family and friends hit the dance floor just as hard! Total party success!!

Then this most amazing couple set on a Finger Lakes getaway! Starting with a rockin' party with friends and family on beautiful Seneca Lake at Belhurst Castle. A perfect combination of urban character and history, matched with lake front views and fresh air! Nothing was more perfect than Kelly and Jonah. Together they are the perfect combination of beauty, fun, and warmth. Their wedding day was a true refection of them. Amazing to share and witness:)

This very photoblog turned three-years-old last week!!! Where has the time gone???!!! No slowin' down with this post either:)
Kristin and Jesse were a site to behold on their wedding day! As Kristin prepared in her room, each stage moved her bridal party to OOOO's and AAHHHH"s! Jesse rolled onto the scene with his crew. With some of the best weather of the year making a special appearance, just as the leaves on the trees where starting to change. The day was magical! The family and friends were beautiful and fun!
During Kristin and Jesse's e-session in Chicago, they informed me about the true party that would be had on their wedding day. They did not disappoint!! From the awesome intro at the reception, the fireworks, to dancing on tables, and using decorations as party outfits...we ROCKED Bristol Harbour!!

Not only am I lucky, but I think I am spoiled too! To witness the natural beauty of Jaime and Alex on their wedding day in East Hampton was a treat! Spending a few days with this lovely bride, her groom, and their family and friends left me so very thankful for the great people I get to work with. Having photographed in the Hamptons before, it is fast becoming one of my favorite places in the state. Amazing beaches, picture perfect towns, and stylish people make for one stunning place to tie the knot! Stunning was exactly what we got. A very private wedding and down to earth reception could not have been more wonderful. Jaime and Alex beamed all day with joy and happiness. We rocked the night away! Then I got the chance to kick back and relax with my new friends. Enjoying a cold drink and sliders...perfection:)

Just finished up the busiest part of my wedding season. Now to start posting these amazing weddings from the past few months. Mimi and James celebrated their wedding day with family and friends in picturesque Skaneateles, NY. It was my complete honor documenting such a special day for a special couple. Each venue was located in Skaneateles so we really made the most of this charming lakeside community. The majority of the wedding celebration took place at the Skaneateles Country Club. We had perfect sunsets and all around perfect weather. The food was to die for good, and the guests were not shy of the camera or the dance floor! Great times!!!

The always amazing Kelli Berg of Simply Beautiful Weddings organized the biggest most fabulous celebration Loon Lake has ever seen! A cozy lakeside cottage estate welcomed family and friends on a cloudy summer day. The outdoor ceremony was rain free and full of joy. We got rained on later in the reception, but the party was in full swing and no one missed a beat! Laura and Andy were a sight to see! Beautiful, in love, and dancing till they could dance no more. Every detail and moment was perfect...as you can see:)

Hilarious! One word that defines Jackie and Ross. Together they are the life of the party. Always laughing and clowning around. Infecting everyone around them with joy! Love and laughs were more than abundant on this sweet couples' wedding day. After getting to know everyone at the rehearsal, I knew the wedding was going to be nothing short of amazing. Jackie and Ross exchanged beautiful vows at the historic Sonnenberg Gardens. Jackie was beyond stunning, and Ross paid homage to his roots while wearing a Scottish kilt. Men in skirts...I mean kilts...make wedding photography so much fun! How can you not just be in a good mood?! It was hot outside too and I kinda wish I was wearing one:)
With dresses and kilts whirling on the dance floor, family and friends partied the night away. Making for a celebration as unique and joyous as the fabulous bride and groom. Hooray for parties with plaid!!!

My first downtown Buffalo, NY wedding!!! Don't ask me how after almost 4 years of documenting weddings, that it took me this long to work in city only 60 miles to the west. Either way, I am so honored to have been a part of Amanda and Morgan's wedding day! Beautiful does not do these two justice. Stunning comes close, but still lacking:) Amanda and Morgan had a fantastic vision of what they wanted their wedding day to be, and it was all they dreamed of! Amazing weather, gorgeous details, landmark venues, all the while surrounded by the ones who love them most. Just a perfect day. The ceremony was held at the historic and HUGE Saint Louis Church, with the cool reception on the water at Shanghai Reds. We made the most of all the fun photo locations throughout the city. The waterfront being my favorite. Everyone welcomed me with open hearts and minds. Making these images that much more special.

About one year ago I met with Emily and Anthony in the Rochester studio. That day set in motion 'Friend and Family Weddings 2009'!!! This funny, charming, and sweet couple told everyone they know about me...and in a blink...their whole circle of friends and family hired me!! Talk about lovin' your photographer:)
Emily and Anthony have a special connection. All documented and shared on a great blog. They have found true love and it's beautiful to witness. I'm a sucker for how cute they are.
The wedding day was a celebration to behold! Anthony blew the roof off of Casa Larga when he performed a John Legend song for Emily! The guests erupted with joy, and the night was set for a party! Outrageous events where captured throughout the entire reception. The Orient Express Band laid the funk down. Not to mention a stunning sunset ending a perfect day! Just awesome!!!

Bristol Harbour was home for a few days to Erin and Keenan. That is the way to do it! Spend some time relaxing and golfing before the big day. Well, Erin and Keenan were well rested for the celebration of a lifetime. An emotional ceremony, as the sun became gold in color, was followed by a true party! Non-stop dancing, bride and groom raised in chairs, all with bumpin' tunes! I am so grateful to know this very special couple. We laughed and cried. A lasting love story witnessed with fabulous people.

Still flowin' up in NYC and DUMBO! Kerry and Josh met up with me the first evening, only to have it pour rain on us! So the next day we dried out and continued our natural photo session. I photographed Kerry's brother's wedding a few years ago so we had a nice foundation to work from. Josh is a total kid at heart and the three of us completely enjoyed ourselves. Without a doubt this relaxed couple is fit, fun and beautiul:) Their winter wedding in Saratoga is going to be amazing! Perfect images of a perfect couple.

Excited to be back in NYC! I arrived a day later than I wanted and with a nasty cold, but no stoppin' love and photo sessions:) Edith and Alan wanted some water and urban details in their natural photo session. So we met up at DUMBO where a beautiful day was in the making. This adorable couple enchanted me with their sweet personalities. Showed off their hot rod Mini Cooper. We had to get some shots of that! Together we enjoyed the relative calm of DUMBO. Found some great light and bright colors. Tons of fun with a cool people. The NYC wedding day will be a blast for sure!

Being a little bias, everything in Victor is better! The shopping, the schools, the homes, the people...and the weddings! Kim and Armon honored me with the opportunity to document their special day in my home town:) Ravenwood Golf Club displayed outstanding service and provided gorgeous views. With my camera and tons of real love, a lasting love story was forever captured. Kim and Armon packed their wedding day full of beautiful details and culture (my favorite moment was during the ceremony when Kim and Armon dipped their fingers in honey and fed each other). Each detail and moment set the stage for a fabulous wedding day! The amazing couple along with family and friends made my role a delight. Not even sure where to begin with this post! I spend two fabulous days, with two fantastic people, in the most amazing place! Sheri and Matt tied the knot at the beautiful Chautauqua Institution. Quite possibly the perfect setting for a lasting love story. Never before had I fallen in love with a place so fast. This endearing little community grabbed my heart and mind. Complete inspiration!! This just might be home some day:)
Joined with family and friends Sheri and Matt celebrated with passion. Each day and venue seamlessly joined the next. It was the perfect wedding! So very thankful to this stunning couple for this great opportunity. We all witnessed pure joy, love and visual glory!

It has been too long since my last visit to Saratoga! I forgot what I was missing!! Way too many years ago I studied photography at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY and was only minutes away from this glorious part of New York State. Happy to have returned, and thankful to Greta and Matt for this opportunity. They have great taste for choosing a landmark setting for their wedding day! The Mansion Inn showed exemplary service in hosting the party and guests. Greta and Matt are beyond beautiful inside and out. The whole day was emotional, fun, and turned into a total dance party!! The bride and groom first dance being the hit of the evening:)

My last natural photo session of Spring was full of color, love, and laughs!! Kelly and Jonah joined me at Rochester's world famous Highland Park. With a gorgeous day in the palm of our hands we walked the park in search of inspiring light. Indeed we found it! Kelly and Jonah are beautiful and funny with much love to share. We literally were singing hip hop tunes as we walked. I think that was my fault:) One of the most amusing moments was when an older woman walked by and basically scolded me for shooting into the sun! Like we were breaking some sort of biblical photo rules. Then gave us an almost disgusted look and moved on! Kinda crazy, but we died laughing as she passed. Too funny! I think she might take those words and look back if she viewed these images. Thanks for trusting me Kelly and Jonah, even in the face of doubt:)

Makin' sure to spread the photo love around Rochester, Village Gate was next up! Amanda and Morgan made the drive from Buffalo for their photo session. We jumped right in, and started climbing stairs, and standing on benches. Amanda is a photographer herself, so me and Morgan let her lead the way:) Working with this totally cute couple was my pleasure. Spending some quality time with them makes me even more excited for their wedding day! Even better, later we got a chance to hang out and chat at the delicious Selena's!

So very grateful that I live in such a beautiful and inspiring part of the world! Upstate NY is abound with great parks that provide the perfect setting for natural photo sessions. Holly and Bryan let me choose the location, with pleasure we headed to the hidden gem of Webster Park in Webster, NY. On a perfect day followed by the prefect sunset, we walked the park and pier with delight! At one point we all just had to stop and take in the intense beauty that we were witnessing. Holly and Bryan are down to Earth people with warm hearts. I think these images display just that:)

The first Finger Lakes wedding of the year was super special! Melanie and Rich threw one heck of a wedding at the remarkable Ventosa Vinyards! On a gorgeous day, surrounded by friends and family, overlooking Seneca Lake, Melanie and Rich exchanged eternal vows. I was so honored when my good friend Melanie asked if I would document her and Rich's wedding day! They are a beautiful couple with no shortage of smiles and laughs. Rich entertained the crowd with his music talent. Melanie was her playful self, goofing around and joking with her guests. It was great to see a bunch of old friends from high school too. We all rocked the night away, and added many more memories!

Rochester has been in and out of the warmer side of the thermostat. So it seems that many of my natural photo sessions have been grouped closer together than in years past. This means the next few posts will be back to back:)
Erin and Keenan joined me on one of the most beautiful evenings. We hit ARTWalk and found all the inspiration needed for a totally fun session. Erin and Keenan were looking forward to bringing the elements of the city into their images. What better place than ARTWalk!! I am so thankful to be located in such a amazing and intriguing part of Rochester. Fabulous business like ArtWalk Tile thrive, represent and display public art. Photo opportunity in abundance! Natural Photo Sessions have been a big hit this year! Our beautiful parks have been a huge source of inspiration for my photo sessions. Lindsay and Jim wanted a little urban and a little nature in there engagement photos...no problem. We met at the studio then headed to the always fabulous Highland Park! Lindsay and Jim kept it relaxed and fun. Together we talked music and houses. Good conversation with great people. They are planning a sweet Fall wedding here in Rochester. I'd say I cannot wait, but here in Rochester anyone who rushes Summer gets chased out of town:)

Chicago Engagement { photographs }!!!

Excited to share images from a fantastic photo session with a fabulous couple!!! A few weeks ago I met up with Kristin and Jesse on a rainy weekend in Chicago. After a flight delay and rain showers in the city, the weather broke and went for it!
Kristin and Jesse are Rochester natives living and working in Chicago. Young, smart, attractive and in true love! They are planning a finger lakes wedding celebration, but wanted photos together in their new city. We started outside of their cool and hip river/lake front condo. Within a few minutes we were laughing and finding the best little spots for photos. Three hours later we were getting offers from the Chicago Police Department for a ride to other known photo locations. Needless to say we rocked the city that rainy Sunday:)

Rochester Wedding Photo Workshop!!!

Every year I am proud to host a photo workshop for the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education! Eleven brave photographers spent two classroom sessions, and one- 6 hour, outdoor photo session, with me and my camera. Trying not to teach, I demonstrated what works for me. With two beautiful and amazing couples, we headed to some of my favorite locations for photo sessions. Brandy and Craig rocked our engagement session. Then Hayley and Ryan displayed their love for the bride and groom session. Flower Power Decor donated the gorgeous flowers, and we hit the town!
Inspired by each and everyone who participated. Discussing and demonstrating photography in a group setting always teaches me something, and new questions arise. I made new friends to share photography, and life with. What a fun and talented group we had!

Keeping up on my blogging before the heart of the wedding season is upon us. Last month was my first natural photo session of the year, in Rochester's beautiful Highland Park. Kim and Armon braved a slight chill, and we broke Highland Park in for the 2009 season:) Kim and Armon work hard and have busy schedules, so I really wanted them to have a fun expreience. We stayed near the reservoir, caught golden light, and had some laughs. Great people with a sure to be special wedding!

Blogging...yes it it takes a lot of time, and just when I think I can blog no more I get inspired! Laura and Andy inspire me with kindness! They are down to earth, warm, and like family. Smart too I tell ya! Not just because they commissioned me and an the fabulous Kelli Berg on their wedding day:) We had tons of fun getting to know each other and walking the Neighborhood of the Arts on a beautiful Spring day. Photo sessions like this one are so special. This makes me love my job more than I thought was possible. Totally looking forward to their big day in August!

April in Rochester will make you go crazy indeed. After a few beautiful days of weather, winter gave us one last cheap shot:) So I am digging way back to 2002 and 2003 for some images I took with my Canon A40 and Canon A70!! Those little cameras could rock with the right touch. Hope to get out soon and make new art to share.

Last night I got an email from [AG]WPJA. It announced the winners of the last 2008 photo contest. This was the first time I have entered any photo contest. I am not big into contests. My goal has always been to be my own biggest critic, and please my clients. Though I gotta say it was nice to have a critical review of my work. Here are the judges remarks, "Outstanding image. Aside from cleaning up the background just a little to remove a few areas that take the eye away from the subjects, this is truly a special image. The position of the subjects and the expressions on their faces peering through the door all help to make this image excel. This is clearly the best image in this category and it is right up there with the best in all the categories."

Rolling into the weekend with another super special blog post! Sandra and Chad are great friends! They are young, in love, and totally made for each other. They are basically family. Near and dear to our hearts. I was so excited to hang out with them in the Neighborhood of the Arts and photograph this beautiful couple on a gorgeous Rochester winter day!
